Gwynfa narrowly failed to win the Stanley Chell trophy for the third consecutive year, finishing joint 4th on 73 points behind Inn Focus (78), Ebbw Vale(77 and Gwent (75).
However, it was a very successful day for a couple of the girls. Lynda Beynon (Female Azure Damselfly) and Heidi Stewart (Storm Chaser) both got 20 points and Lynda walked off with the Glyn John Trophy for the Best Colour Print of the competition.
Gwynfa scores were: Stokesness & Vestrahorn 16 (Leigh Woolford), Under Attack 17 (Gwynfryn Jones), Storm Chaser 20 (Heidi Stewart), Female Azure Damselfy 20 (Lynda Beynon). Full results can be seen here.

The 2014 Gwynfa Photographer of the Year is Terry Donnelly with a total of 192 points from his ten best scores, an incredible average of 19.2 per photo. Leigh Woolford was runner up, just one point adrift.

The 2014 Picture of the Year was won by Heidi Stewart with her print entitled ‘Storm Chaser‘. This photograph will appear on the front of our 2015 handbook. The runner up was ‘Dynamo‘ by Ian Natt. The photo will appear on the greetings card we present to judges and lecturers. Here are the top five photographs in each section.
