April 2020 adjudication – Birmingham
This Adjudication to be held on the weekend of 25th/26th April in Rednal, Birmingham is now filling up. There are still 10 spaces left in the Credit section, but only 4 in the Distinction/Master categories and anyone thinking of applying for either DPAGB or MPAGB should apply as soon as possible!
November 2020 adjudication – Newton Abbot
Applications are slowly coming in for this Adjudication to be held at Coomsbeshead Academy, Coombeshead Road, Newton Abbot TQ12 1PT, on the weekend of 28th/29th November, hosted by the Western Counties Photographic Federation.
This years Stanley Chell Trophy was won against fierce competition by Llanelli Camera Club. Twenty five clubs entered with a range in scores from 75 to 66. Afan Nedd were second followed by Cymru Mono in third. Gwynfa finished joint fourth.
The Hans Hoyer Trophy for best monochrome was won by Gabor Horvath for “Desolation of The King”.
The Glyn John Trophy for best colour print was won by Neil Thomas for “Kingfisher in Flight”.
The Glan and Mair Trophy for best landscape was won by Dave Marriott for “Sunrise at Llyn Padarn”.
The best picture of the day and winner of the Doris Chell Trophy was “Remembrance” by Jennifer Williams.
The judging was Rob Mitchell. Well done to Aberdare CC for all their hard work in staging this years competition and especially the catering team.

Gwynfa won the Rhondda 12-Way battle on 12th November. The results were:-
1st Gwynfa – 111
2nd Bargoed – 109
3rd Bridgend & Cymru Mono – 107
