Our Annual Match-a-Didge competition with the Vale and Rhondda is this year hosted by our friends in Ystradowen at the Village Hall behind the White Lion pub.
The date is Friday 12th December. Kick off is at 7.30pm and you can be assured of a fun filled evening where the clubs try to match photographs projected by the others to score points. (Points can also be gained by making amusing comments from the floor or pointing out matches that the judge has missed).Vale are always excellent hosts and it is always one of the best evenings of the year.
Warning: Do not park in the White Lion car park. They don’t take kindly to it and your car could find itself wearing a large yellow boot. There is plenty of parking in the proper car park behind the pub car park and elsewhere.
Ennis Matthews has become the first person to win the Tacky Trophy two years in a row.
Judge Jeffrey (Thomas), adjudicating on the occasion of a landmark Birthday, selected three of Ennis’ photographs in the top four places (first, second and fourth) proving that she is indeed a natural born tacky photographer. Ennis’ winning photograph was truly abysmal and scored a magnificent 2 out of 20: A truly a remarkable result in a competition where some photographs scored as high as 18!
The photograph below shows Ennis receiving the very lovely trophy from Judge Jeffrey who wore his favourite shirt for the occasion.
Just a reminder that this Thursday sees the anti-competition that is the Tacky Trophy. The judging commences at 9pm in the back room of the New Inn, Swan Street, Llantrisant. Our illustrious judge for the evening, fresh from his triumph as quiz master last week, is Mr. Jeffrey Thomas.
If you enter your very worst photos and you could get a lowly commended or even win the lovely ‘Tacky Trophy’ to keep on your mantelpiece for one year.
